People that ADHD think that they have some ADHD sleep disorders or they may call it ADHD Insomnia.Basically, they can't get to sleep.At the root of this there are some things that can be changed to fix this.There are also some supplements that can be taken to to support the body for a good night's sleep.

If the diet consists of sugar or caffeine, this will be a problem.It puts to much energy into the body and makes it difficult to settle down.

Also, I notice that when I take a calcium and magnesium supplement, it helps to calm me down and to go to bed earlier.It is known that people with ADHD are deficient in minerals and vitamins especially B vitamins and calcium and magnesium.

Calcium and magnesium will also help with restless leg syndrome.

A good herb to use to help with sleep is valerian root.It is a smelly one which isn't so pleasant.My wife was using this to go to sleep.She started using a formula with valerian root and she loves it much better.She says it helps her to get to sleep and have a peaceful rest all night.

She just told me we are out of it and she wants more.So they are some things to consider that will help most people.

With ADHD, there are medications that are prescribed.Most of the stimulant medications will cause sleep problems.If you are on a stimulant and you need help getting to sleep, you need to get rid of the problem which is the stimulant medication.Most doctors will just prescribe a sleeping medication.So now you are treating a side effect of a medication with a medication.
