Good morning:

I am the support group leader for the RLS Foundation in New York City/Long Island New York, and will be holding a meeting in October. If you know of any sufferers in this area that you think might have an interest in attending, the details are below. Keep up the great work with your blog.

The Long Island/Manhattan RLS Support Group will be holding a meeting on Tuesday, October 26th. Dr. Weinstein, the Director of the Winthrop Hospital Sleep Disorders Center as well as the medical advisor for our group, will be attending.

The meeting is being held in a Winthrop Hospital facility that is within easy walking distance (5 to 10 minutes) of the Mineola train station.

When:Tuesday October 26, 2010
Time:7:30 PM
Address: 1300 Franklin Avenue, Garden City, 1st Floor (enter through the back of the building)

The meeting will offer you the opportunity to meet others who understand what it is like to live with RLS, and will address topics such as ways to communicate to family and friends about RLS as well as coping mechanisms that others have found helpful and much more.

Please let me know if you plan on being there, or if you have any questions, by emailing me at michaelhaltman@me.com
